The Master Plan

The Master Plan

The Master Plan is based upon changing not just some laws... but all laws. Through a strategy of voter registration, political actions and legislation, a process I call "Pointed Political Action" the Citizen's Congress will force a call for a constitution convention. The purpose would be to undertake nothing less than a total revision of the Constitution of the United States. I believe this is the best, if not only way, to take back control and put our national house in order.

We will call for the drafting of a new constitution that upholds all the rights granted by its predecessor and re-define its provisions, guarantees and obligations to "we the people" in the language of today's America.

The task will be to reiterate in language legally precise, morally unassailable, unambiguous and clear in its intents and meaning. It will outline the obligations of the duly elected Congress of the United states. We will secure the rights, freedoms and liberties of the individual citizen.

It will also for the first time, clearly define the obligation of its citizens to adhere to constitutional acts of support. By paying your taxes... by obeying the laws of the country... by voting in every election of National office or referendum you will be actively participating in your constitutional obligations. These obligations will be asked in order to ensure the governments ability to fulfill its Constitutional responsibility to represent the will of the people. By committing to these duties we will insure the health and welfare, and prosperity of our nation.

The one way to effectively put to rest the issues that paralyze us as a people, is to take the time to utilize the human and technological resources we have today to salvage our children's future. If it takes ten years or twenty, let us as a people begin today to plan for forever. Technologically, we have the means to allow individual votes to be tallied and counted in ways that make it possible for every one with the ability to finally vote and be counted on issues that they have the inherent right to vote on
.
National Referendums on issues of national importance should be held and every citizen should vote his own conscience. If the People vote yes, than it's yes. If government wants to outlaw guns and  the people say no...it's no. No Court would have the power to overturn a Citizen Referendum. Referendum balloting could be held every 2 years when an issue may be raised again. But the people vote yes or no. Not the fools in Washington. Not the governor, not the mayor , no one body of representatives. Everyone votes and the majority rules. It is the basic concept of Democracy.

However... and this is where its gets crazy (my brother, Dave, thinks it's unthinkable)-- One new rule would be that... like it or not ... everybody has to vote. Voting has always and unquestionably been your most important and irrevocable right. It is also your most incumbent obligation.

Every citizen would be required to cast a vote on Citizen Referendum Ballots that are binding and would have the effect of law and at all elections of National Representatives to Congress. Individual to vote and have his vote count in an equal fashion. Counted resources that have finally given us the means... . Our future slips away while we waste irreplaceable time, money and resources arguing about issues that are not the business or responsibility of our government or elected officials... they are the responsibility of "we the people". And that my friend, is you and me.

The obligations of a citizen to the society of which that citizen is a member are few. For the most part they are obligations accepted by all. In order to insure the perpetuation of any society, its citizens must impose upon themselves certain restrictions and obligations. In order to live together in peace we all agree to abstain from actions that would knowingly harm others. We enact laws to help us regulate our own behavior as well as the behavior of those who are lawless. We agree to pay taxes to provide the services that are common and necessary to all members of our society. Roads, buildings, police, civil servants... our taxes provide the means for our government to serve society in general. We take on these responsibilities, these obligations willingly so that, with order and common effort, our society can proper.

The purpose of the Citizen's Congress is to harness the power of the ever-increasing Cyber Community as an underutilized voting block and create the ultimate Political Action Coalition. We will endeavor to use the tools of democracy to implement the change necessary to guarantee our children a place in the future. We will achieve these goals by using the very same rulebook and tools that we have used to create this great country

Society fails when the people demand more out of a system of government than they are willing to put into it. When the citizenship expects its government to provide them their support and seek to avoid contribution its sets itself on a course to oblivion. The people must contribute to the efforts of their government to provide for them. Yet here in America we have become just that sort of people. With each passing day the sense that our government is our enemy increases. We view the police, the courts, our elected officials as invading forces bent on doing us harm.

We as a nation have lost sight of the fact that the Congress of America are our representatives, not our opposition. They work for us. Yet when the opportunity presents itself... When the time to speak to our representatives and to express our satisfaction or disapproval is at hand...Election day... More than half of us stay home. We complain daily but do nothing. We feel that paying taxes entitles us to all of the rights that are the privilege of All Americans. Paying taxes is an obligation, not a right. While voting is a right not an obligation. As a member of the Citizen's Congress, I believe that is wrong
.
Voting in State and Federal elections should not be a right... it should be an obligation! The right of a citizen in a democracy, the most beneficial way of supporting their government, their community and themselves, is the one most neglected, ignored and abused.

The Right to Vote!

We demand that people pay taxes, or they will be punished. We demand that people obey the law, or they will be punished. We do that to protect society and ourselves. But we do not demand that when elections are held that everyone must register their vote. Elections are not just about supporting a candidate...they are about supporting your country and your society.
